Maintain cleaning materials and equipment in a clean and tidy condition. 9. Reporting any faults in the machinery or the building fabrics to the cleaning supervisor. 10. Ensuring safe working methods are adhered to. 11. To comply with the Council's Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety Policy. PERIODICAL DUTIES:. 1. High damp dusting. 2. Cleaning office partitions and glass. 3. Deep cleaning of furniture and fittings eg, cupboards, desks and chairs. 4. Washing down walls/wall tiles in toilet areas, wash rooms, sluices and laundry rooms. 5. Stripping and re-sealing of hard floors. Any other cleaning duties commensurate with the grading of the post, subject to any reasonable adjustments under the Disability Discrimination Act. Services are delivered from multi-disciplinary teams aligned to the four local authority areas.  An opportunity has arisen for a part time Assistant Youth Justice Officer for our team based in Telford. The post is responsible for maintaining a limited low/medium risk caseload and in partnership with Youth Justice Officers support the design and direct delivery of programmes of intervention to prevent offending by children and young people. This will include direct work with families, victims of youth crime and the co-ordination of multi-agency input to programme delivery.  The successful candidate will hold 4 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and a qualification relating to Youth Justice (e.g. Professional Certificate in Effective Practice); Social Work; Youth and Community Work; Education; Health; Probation; Policing or a willingness to undertake the Youth Justice Effective Practice Certificate and evidence of direct work with young people and their families within a client-facing service for vulnerable groups.
