This role has arisen due to a retirement and subsequent restructure and therefore this client is looking for an experienced general practice Accountant who ideally is ICASS/ACCA (or equivalent) qualified but applications will be considered from those who are Qualified-by-Experience. This role will have a variety of responsibilities across all general practice offerings which will include: · Managing your own portfolio of clients and maintaining client relationships with regular client contact · Preparation and review of year-end and monthly / quarterly management accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies · Preparation and review of corporate and personal tax returns · Preparing and review of VAT returns and other ad-hoc bookkeeping responsibilities · Assisting with the training and implementation of cloud accounting systems i.e. Xero to clients Requirements: · Ideally you will be a fully qualified Accountant i.e. ICAS / ACCA etc. but consideration will also be given to those who are Qualified by Experience (QBE) · Ideally you will have a minimum of 5 years’ accountancy experience gained from a Chartered Accountancy firm i.e. Big 4, Top 10, Mid-Tier CA, Independent CA firm · You will have experience of preparing and reviewing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies · Experience within the agricultural sector would be advantageous but not essential · Previous experience of working with cloud accounting packages i.e. Xero would be desirable but not essential as training will be provided · Working independently and as part of a team is an essential part of this role
