Rent Recovery and Welfare Rights Officers contribute to Creative Support’s business success through effective income maximisation and arrears recovery within this accommodation. You will be responsible for a caseload of rent accounts for tenants residing in our supported accommodation, managing the rental income for these accounts and preventing tenants from falling into arrears and that where this happens we take prompt, appropriate action to resolve these cases. You should be motivated, organised and able to meet deadlines. You will be friendly, approachable and confident and able to communicate clearly with clients, staff and other partner agencies. You should not be averse to dealing with sometimes challenging and / or emotional cases and will demonstrate professionalism and empathy as necessary. You will ideally have some knowledge of the current Housing Benefit system and the future proposals for the future funding of supported housing.
