Universal Credit (UC) is the fastest growing advice issue for the Citizens Advice service and Local Citizens Advice offices everywhere and improving the support available to people making a claim is vital. Citizens Advice is set to deliver a new service called “Universal Support: Help to Claim” which offers end-to-end support to help people make a new Universal Credit claim and be ready for when their first payment arrives. To help us with the delivery of this new service in Redbridge, and to strengthen our team at a crucial time, we are recruiting an Advice Sessions Supervisor. We are looking for an experienced individual to support our phone and face-to-face advice sessions provided by volunteers and paid staff. You’ll have excellent knowledge of welfare benefits and other advice issues, and experience of providing and supporting advice sessions to vulnerable clients.
